Labcorp workers in Southwest Washington, Oregon vote to unionize

Company operates at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, employs 54 workers in Vancouver

Around 400 lab workers in Oregon and Southwest Washington, all employed by health care company Labcorp, voted to unionize last week.

The move comes as health care unions flex increasing strength throughout the region.

“I am excited that lab professionals at Labcorp have finally won a union and can now advocate for better wages, benefits and working conditions,” Meagan Hollis, a Labcorp medical laboratory scientist, said in a statement last week.
